Evening Attire debuts as 10-year-old on Saturday!
Evening Attire will be making his debut as a ten-year-old in the $75,000 Aqueduct Handicap on Saturday at Aqueduct racecourse.
He's fresh from a head victory in the Grade 3 Queens County Handicap last month and is now poised to shake up the racing world once more.
Evening Attire won the Aqueduct Handicap in 2002 and he seems especially pumped for the 2008 edition.
Evening Attire is a son of Black Tie Affair and is owned by T.J. Kelly and Joseph and Mary Grant. He has been around so long that three of his 12 jockeys - Robbie Davis, Mark Guidry, and Jose Santos - have all retired.
Throughout his career, Evening Attire has participate in 42 graded stakes - with nine wins - and register an unofficial record 29 triple-digit Beyer Speed Figures while winning over all four of the New York Racing Association's dirt surfaces.
His most memorable wins include the 2002 Jockey Club Gold Cup, the 2002 Breeders Cup Classic, the 2004 Saratoga Breeders Cup, the 2002 Aqueduct Handicap and the 2007 Stymie Handicap. |
