Del Mar racecourse is located 20 miles north of San Diego and 100 miles south of Los Angeles.

You can connect to San Diego International Airport (Lindbergh Field) from major cities across America.

Getting to Del Mar Racecourse by Car
If you're traveling by car and coming from the San Diego city center, simply head north using the Interstate 5 (I-5). You need to get off the I-5 through the Via De la Valle Exit and then head west to Del Mar racecourse.

Getting to Del Mar Racecourse by Train or Bus
Both Amtrak and the local commuter train called Coaster stop at the nearby Solana Beach Station. Del Mar racecourse provides a free shuttle using double decker buses called Breeze to and from the track. You just need to get off at the Solana Beach Station and look for this free bus service.

Catch the Breeze anywhere between Oceanside and University Towne Center via regular BREEZE route 101.

From Escondido, special route 408 will get you to the races before the first post.

Additionally, a special Breeze racecourse shuttle service circulates daily every 30 minutes from Del Mar, Solana Beach and the racetrack beginning 2 1/2 hours before post time. The schedule is: Monday through Saturday, take the train to the track!

Free racecourse shuttle buses meet Monday, Wednesday and Thursday trains between 10:15 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Solana Beach station. Saturday trains will be met by the shuttle between 9:45 a.m. and 4 p.m.

After the races, the last Coaster train leaving Solana Beach station southbound on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday is at 5:50 pm, while the last northbound train departs at 7:18 pm on those days.

On Fridays, passengers can catch the shuttle between 2 pm and 7:30 pm to get to the track from the Solana Beach station. On Fridays, the last southbound COASTERs leave Solana Beach at 8:48 pm and 11:17 pm. The last Friday night northbound trains leave at 10:20 pm and 12:40 am.

All BREEZE shuttle buses will depart the racetrack 15 minutes after the conclusion of the final race. Normal BREEZE fares apply.
