2008 Season
Meadowlands Racecourse hosts both harness and thoroughbred racing.
HARNESS RACING
Meadowlands Racecourse's 2008 harness racing season runs from January 2 through August 2 (Hambletonian Day) and resumes on November 21 through December 27. There is a total of 151 live racing dates.
Live harness racing at Meadowlands Racecourse is held every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
The track will be open on May 26, Monday.
The track will be dark on the following dates:
- February 3
- March 23
- March 30
- December 24, 25
Stakes Highlights:
- $1.5 million Hambletonian, Saturday, August 2
- $1 million Meadowlands Pace, Saturday, July 19
THOROUGHBRED RACING
Meadowlands Racecourse's 2008 thoroughbred racing season commences on September 9 and ends on November 15 . There will be a total of 42 days of live thoroughbred racing.
During the thoroughbred racing season at Meadowlands Racecourse, live racing occurs every Tuesday, Wednesday (except in November), Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
