Zero Rock set to contest Golden Rose at Rosehill!
Zero Rock is ready to set Rosehill Racecourse on fire on August 30 when she takes part in the $1 million, group II, Golden Rose at 1,400m.
"She'll go down for the Golden Rose and if she runs well I'll play it by ear whether she stays on for some of the other spring races.", Zero Rock's trainer Kelso Wood said.
Zero Rock's forthcoming run at Rosehill Racecourse comes on the heels of her explosive six-length win at Eagle Farm Racecourse last weekend. Zero Rock landed a hefty plunge, firming from $3.10 to $2.25 favouritism and led all the way in the Don't Play Maiden (1,000m).
Despite having extra condition in her race debut, Zero Rock, jockey Brad Pengelly was given an armchair ride in front.
To keep her momentum, Wood, who also trains Zero Rock's older siblings Rock On Bye and Rock Idol, immediately booked the $1 million Golden Rose at Rosehill Racecourse as an early spring goal for the two-year-old filly.
Zero Rock was bred by well-known property developer David Devine who won five races from eight starts with Broc 'n' Roll. |
