Exeter RacecourseExeter Racecourse is a thoroughbred horse racecourse located near the city of Exeter, Devon, England. Exeter Racecourse is also known as Haldon racecourse because of its location on top of the Haldon Hills. Until the early 1990s, it was officially known as Devon and Exeter.

Exeter Racecourse is situated at the top of Haldon Hill, alongside the A38 Plymouth to Exeter Road, 5 miles south west of the end of the M5 motorway and 2 miles east of Chudleigh. Due to its lofty location, Exeter Racecourse is endowed with far-reaching views and is considered one of the most attractive racecourses in the UK.

Exeter Racecourse has a reputation of being a fair and testing track, with many good horses starting their racing careers here. An example is Desert Orchid, who won his first steeplechase here at Exeter Racecourse 1985 and went on to be one of the most famous racehorses in modern times.
