Luca Cumani cruises to one-two finish at Detica Summer Stakes!
Luca Cumani steeds Sanbuch and Bauer came in first and second at the Detica Summer Stakes on Tuesday at Goodwood Racecourse.
Cumani's twosome was in a tight race throughout the Goodwood Racecourse contest with a game Black Rock. Their competitor nevertheless broke down in the last furlong.
Rajeh summoned up enough strength to claim third spot.
"Sanbuch is not the easiest but I think Ryan gets on really well with him. We put blinkers on today to make him travel a little bit better and travel he did." Luca Cumani said.
"I was very pleased with Bauer because he hasn't been in the best of form in the spring but there is time for him to come back yet.
"It's great to see two horses with such big weights running so well.
"I think Bauer will run in the Ebor, today was his prep race, but Sanbuch, with a 4lb penalty, will find it hard to beat Bauer so we will have to think about that." Cumani concluded.
