Majestic Roi aims for Falmouth Stakes victory on Wednesday!
The handlers of Majestic Roi have positioned the filly for the UAE Hydra Properties Falmouth Stakes on Wednesday at Newmarket Racecourse. Her connections believe that Majestic Roi has what it takes to seize a win at the highlight of the opening day of the Ritz Club July Festival at Newmarket Racecourse.
The Mick Channon-trained Majestic Roi is not saddled with a Group One penalty for winning last autumn's Sun Chariot Stakes.
"Now she's racing without the penalty it could make a difference," said Bruce Raymond, racing manager to Majestic Roi owner Jaber Abdullah.
"She's a filly that seems to thrive on racing. The more races she has the better she is as she tends to be a bit fresh."
Majestic Roi placed fourth to Sabana Perdida at the Windsor Forest at Ascot Racecourse last month. "It was a very good run at Ascot and I think she'd have a chance." said Raymond. He expects Majestic Roi to fully show her stuff on Wednesday's marquee race at Newmarket Racecourse.
"The French filly (Darjina) is very useful and will take a bit of getting past, but you don't miss out because of one of two. You have to go for it."
