Towcester Racecourse is a horse racecourse located in the Easton Neston Estate in Northamptonshire, England. Towcester Racecourse hosts National Hunt Rules race meetings (over jumps) from June to December each year.
Due to its sharp bends, Towcester Racecourse is a favoured venue among the racing fraternity. Towcester Racecourse's final gallop to the finishing post is uphill, which tests the horses and results in some unexpected finishes.

Towcester Racecourse History

In 1928, the first meeting at Towcester Racecourse took place. Lord Hesketh formed the Towcester Racecourse Company.

In 2004, Towcester Racecourse, as well as the entire Easton Neston estate, was put up for sale. Hesketh later decided to retain ownership of the course and sold only a portion of the estate to a Russian-born businessman.

From 2002 until 2006, entrance to Towcester Racecourse was free. During this time, attendance grew significantly.

In late 2006, Towcester Racecourse started charging for entry to their two most popular annual meetings; Boxing Day and Easter Sunday . All other meetings remained without charge.
